This genin team from Sunagakure consists of Shinki, the adopted child of the Fifth Kazekage Gaara, as well as two other Suna shinobi, Araya and Yodo.
These three participated in the Chūnin Exams held in Konohagakure. The team passes both the first and second exams, during where the team had an encounter with Metal Lee and his team. During the third exam, Araya defeated Inojin Yamanaka, Shinki defeated Chōchō Akimichi, while Yodo, however, was defeated by Shikadai Nara. Araya was then defeated by Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki forfeited his match to Shinki.
